Hi I’m MIKEE!

Michael Amor (Mikee) is a singer-songwriter, producer, vocal coach, and voice teacher from Seattle, WA.

Starting in the world of music at the young age of 7 years old, Mikee has been singing and performing for 22 years all over Washington State (and a few others including California, Oregon, Hawaii) for audiences between 1 - 3000 people. He’s written many original songs for clients and himself over the past 11 years, produced music for the past 5 years, and plays piano, guitar, ukulele, and drums.

Growing up, Mikee was always surrounded by music of all genres. His biggest influence in music is his dad who is a well-known bass player in Washington State whom has played almost any genre one can think of, with a variety of live bands. Mikee got to tag along to a lot of his dad’s rehearsals and gigs, and spent a lot of time with his aunt, whom is also a jazz singer that frequently performs at restaurants with a rotating roster of musicians in her live band. Family parties were always full of karaoke and jamming.

Mikee started out in a school choir from second to tenth grade. He then got accepted to join the Washington State Choir in 2005. In his early teens, he sang with a church choir that further confirmed his true love for music. He saw what the power of music can do and how it can move people. “I believe it’s a powerful language that we can all speak.”

Freshly 18, Mikee started connecting with other local artists and gaining some exposure through frequenting many shows/open mics, busking at Pike Place Market, and serenading anyone who wanted to listen. Meeting all of these people throughout the years led to jam sessions, performances, and meaningful collaborations.

Today, Mikee leverages all of this experience in offering voice lessons and vocal coaching under JAM House Music in Covington, WA — a small business started by him and his partner, Jessica. Mikee’s students span a large range of ages: the youngest being 6, and the oldest being 71. Mikee truly believes that “no matter what level you’re at, or however much experience you have, music should be accessible to everyone.”
